HOW IT BEGAN:
Ventura County Coast was seeking an eye-catching and cohesive brand to put them on the map.
WHAT WE CREATED:
A brand that captures the eclectic personality of the four cities and overall region. Dynamic ad campaigns that connect with travelers and inspire them to find their vibe in Ventura County Coast. Polished, branded collateral that sets Ventura County Coast apart at events and entices people to visit.
RESULTS:
In 2016, Ventura County Coast saw hotel occupancy of 79.3%, Rev Par of $107.90 and ADR of $136.10.
Year over year, increased new user web visits by 95%, digital advertising by 22% and social media followers by 18%.
The new brand received a MarCom Platinum Award(highest honor in competition).
Comprised of the cities of Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo and Port Hueneme, Ventura County Coast is a string of welcoming communities off Highway 101 that offers a wide range of experiences to travelers.
Our research told us “Ventura” means “fortune”. So it’s no coincidence that the four points of their new logo create the shape of a gem, with each dot acting as map coordinates and the lines expressing the interconnectedness of the four cities. The lighthearted typography reflects the area’s happy, welcoming and stylish atmosphere.
