AI is changing our industry. We’re changing with it, thoughtfully.

Artificial intelligence is changing the way that people discover, connect, operate, and create. From our perspective, the increased use of AI is expediting the consumer craving for real human touch and taste. We believe that AI is a wonderful tool for productivity, monitoring, evaluation, and efficiency. We do not believe that it is a wonderful tool for taste making, creative strategy, or thoughtful product development. At Verdin, we see the shift as both an opportunity and a responsibility.

OUR AI VALUES:

  • Human judgment comes first

  • Technology should create better outcomes, not just faster output

  • Transparency builds trust

  • Curiosity, experimentation, and responsibility can coexist

Our point of view

BETTER TOOLS SHOULD LEAD TO BETTER THINKING

The appropriate use of AI can help us move faster, but that does not mean that the goal is always to produce more.

We believe the greatest value of AI is giving our team more space to think strategically, explore ideas, analyze information and spend time where human perspective matters most. Using technology to support stronger work, not replace the people behind it.

THE MARKETING INDUSTRY IS CHANGING FAST

AI isn’t just changing how marketers work, it’s changing how audiences behave.

People are increasingly turning to conversational search tools and AI assistants for answers, recommendations and inspiration. Advertising platforms are becoming more automated. Creative tools can generate and transform content in seconds, and brands are producing more information across more channels than ever before.

For marketers, that creates new opportunities and new questions.

How does a brand stay visible when discovery begins with an AI-generated answer? How do we maintain trust when synthetic content is everywhere? How do we use automation without losing the insight and originality that make great marketing work?

These are questions we’re actively exploring alongside our clients.

AI is reshaping travel, too

FROM SEARCH RESULTS TO CONVERSATIONS

Travelers have always looked online for inspiration. What’s changing is how they ask for it. Instead of searching for “things to do on the Central Coast,” a traveler can now ask: “Where should I spend a long weekend if I want great wine, hiking, small towns and fewer crowds?”

AI-powered tools can build itineraries, compare destinations and recommend places to stay, eat and explore in seconds. For tourism organizations, this means destination information needs to do more than rank in traditional search. It needs to be trustworthy, useful, consistent across platforms and understandable to the systems shaping AI-powered discovery.

We’re helping our tourism clients think ahead about:

  • AI and answer-engine visibility

  • Changing traveler search behavior

  • Destination content strategy

  • Structured, authoritative information

  • Reputation and third-party signals

  • AI-assisted trip planning

  • The evolving role of destination websites

How we use AI at Verdin

RESEARCH & DISCOVERY

AI helps us explore a topic, synthesize large amounts of information, identify patterns and uncover questions worth investigating further. It accelerates research. It doesn’t replace first-person sources, focus groups, subject-matter expertise or fact-checking.

STRATEGY BRAINSTORMS

We use AI as a thinking partner to explore audience perspectives, pressure-test ideas, develop alternative approaches and push beyond the first obvious solution. The strategy itself remains ours.

IDEATION & CREATIVE EXPLORATION

AI can support outlining, editing, versioning and adaptation across formats and audiences. Generative tools can help us visualize early concepts, build moodboards, experiment with directions and explore possibilities before committing significant production resources. Our writers and designers remain responsible for the ideas, brand voice, accuracy and final product, and creative decisions remain human-led.

DATA & ANAYLSIS

AI can help us organize information, identify trends and translate complex datasets into questions and insights for client reporting, and generate leads our team can investigate. We never treat an AI-generated conclusion as a substitute for analysis or professional judgment.

SMARTER WORKFLOWS

We also use AI for practical tasks like organization, transcription, documentation, summarization and other repetitive work. When technology handles more of the busywork, our team can spend more time on strategy, creativity and clients services.

THE TOOLS WE USE

Our AI toolkit evolves as quickly as the technology itself. Today, our team works with platforms and AI-enabled features across tools such as:

  • ChatGPT: Research, ideation, analysis, writing support and problem-solving

  • Adobe Firefly & Creative Cloud AI: Creative exploration, image editing and production support

  • Canva AI tools: Design assistance, content adaptation and workflow efficiency

  • Google AI tools: Research, search, advertising and productivity

  • AI-enabled marketing platforms: Analytics, media optimization, search, social publishing and performance analysis

We continually evaluate tools based on their usefulness, reliability, privacy practices and fit for client work.

What we won’t compromise

PRIVACY

Client trust comes first. We protect confidential, proprietary and personally identifiable information and consider privacy and security when deciding when, where and how AI tools are used.

ACCURACY

AI can be extremely useful. It can also be confidently wrong. We verify important claims, question outputs and rely on credible sources rather than treating generated information as fact.

CREATIVE INTEGRITY

We respect intellectual property, licensing, creators and original work. Using AI does not remove our responsibility to understand where creative assets come from or how they may be used.

TRANSPARENCY

We believe clients should understand how emerging technology is affecting their work. When generative AI plays a substantive role in public-facing creative or communications, we approach its use thoughtfully and communicate with our clients as appropriate.

AUTHENTICITY

We do not use AI to intentionally deceive audiences, manufacture false experiences or present synthetic people, events, testimonials or information as authentic. Trust is harder to build than content.
