Verdin Brings Home Six International MarCom Awards
It’s incredibly fulfilling to see our clients succeed, and we feel honored to see six of our client projects get international recognition for their quality and creativity. Verdin received high honors in the 2015 MarCom Awards, one of the largest international competitions for marketing and communications professionals.
This year, Verdin took home one Platinum Award, three Gold Awards and two Honorable Mentions.
Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach Water Conservation Campaign: Verdin won the Platinum Award, the highest honor awarded, for the public information program we developed for the cities of Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach to raise awareness about water conservation and the necessity of changing water usage habits. As a result, Arroyo Grande reported a 41% reduction in water consumption in July 2015 and Pismo Beach reported a 29% reduction, far surpassing their mandates of 28% and 24%, respectively.
Goodwill Central Coast Back to School Campaign: The “Get More at Goodwill” campaign shows students of various ages in two scenarios, comparing prices from back to school shopping at a big-box retail store to those at Goodwill. The campaign resulted in a total of over 4 million digital impressions and 19,727 clicks.
Isla Vista Deltopia Campaign: Verdin launched a campaign to control excessive partying during the large student-organized party in Isla Vista known as “Deltopia.” After running the campaign, even at its peak, the crowd that showed up to Deltopia 2015 was a 60% reduction of the number that came in 2014.
Verdin Website: Verdin also took gold for our new website, just launched in October. This was a major piece of our agency-wide rebrand, which resulted from of a detailed assessment of our company’s vision, goals and values and what we promise to our clients.
Jack’s Helping Hand Rebrand: When nonprofit Jack’s Helping Hand’sinitial brand was developed in 2006, they were a small organization helping a handful of families in need of assistance. Since then, they have helped thousands of children and families. Verdin refreshed their brand to reflect the reputation they had earned of being professional and efficient while still maintaining the heart of what they do.
Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation Comedy Night Invitation: Verdin designed the invitation for a comedy night with the theme of “Around the World.” Our creative team designed this invitation with all elements feeling like pieces of a boarding pass package, signaling the adventure to come.
