The inside track on what one nonprofit will receive on November 8 – 9
This time of year, as we prep for the 24-Hour Give, and encourage voting between our two finalists, we list items the nonprofit will receive – such as “full rebrand,” “marketing materials,” “ad campaigns,” “printed collateral,” “marketing strategies” and many others. If you don’t live in the marketing space, you may be interested in knowing specifically what all this means.
We want to break it down for you for two reasons: 1) so that you understand what you might actually be giving a local nonprofit when you vote; and 2) so that you see how much our business partners truly do give when it comes to this event. We’re not kidding around when we say they increase this gift exponentially.
The 24-Hour Give winner’s package is valued at more than $125,000 this year because it includes:
Based on an in-depth intake process through which we learn about the winning nonprofit – who they are, to whom they’re speaking, to whom they need to speak, what challenges they face, what perceptions surround them, and much more – we’ll develop a fresh new look and voice that reflects who they are and what they bring to this community. The rebrand will be reflected throughout every piece created for them throughout and beyond the 24 hours.
The new brand will be woven into a new website developed by New Directions In Computing (NDIC) that will help the nonprofit communicate what they do, provide information and resources, and intuitively guide users to take action and get involved through volunteering, donating, attending events and more.
PSA Videos
Brought to you by John Murillo and Brandon Downing
Videographer John Murillo and producer Brandon Downing will be teaming up to create to produce, film and edit a professional PSA that will help the nonprofit explain who they are and double as highly effective advertising pieces.
Based on our understanding of what messages the community needs to hear in order to believe in and support the nonprofit, we create a series of advertisements that fall under the umbrella of one cohesive and integrated campaign. After we create a concept and receive approval from the nonprofit’s decision makers, we execute the campaign in both print and digital advertisements that run in donated ad space, as you’ll soon see.
Custom photography makes a world of difference for the advertising campaign described above. Elliott works with our art director to develop a vision for beautiful and real visuals that communicate the heart of what the nonprofit does, and he goes out into the community during the Give to capture this heart on camera.
Remember those ads we were talking about? Creating them is one thing, but running them is another. All of these media partners generously donate space in both print and digital publications so that the nonprofit’s messages break through and fall within the eyesight of community members as they go throughout day-to-day life.
The print pieces created in the 24-Hour Give go beyond print advertising. We also design a printed pieces that are decided upon based on the needs and goals we identify in our intake session. Our wonderful print vendors donate resources to get this collateral printed at no charge to the nonprofit, and they also help us promote the 24-Hour Give by creating custom t-shirts and promotional materials for us to use in talking about the event.
Embassy Suites has something big to offer. A venue space to host a fundraising event for up to 300 guests, with food service, beverage service, room rentals, service charges and tax all included.
When we present the winning nonprofit with all of these new items at 8am on Friday morning, we also are able to hand them an iPad at no charge to them, courtesy of our friends at Secure Pro.
And this doesn’t include our amazing team of sponsors that keeps us going throughout the 24-hour period: Old Juan’s Cantina, Libertine, Starbuck’s, Woodstocks, Embassy Suites Catering, Spark Yoga and the team is growing every day!
Not only are we giving all of these amazing services to the recipient, but, together with our partners, we have put together a package for the runner up. The services in this package range from consulting to advertising space and printing with a value of approximately $7,000.
Perhaps this gives you a glimpse into why we are so excited to give this gift to an organization that will benefit from it tremendously. And that’s why we need YOUR vote!
We’ll announce the recipient on October 25. Until then, you can play a role in helping a local organization receive all of the items mentioned here!
