‘Tis the season for pumpkin pie, flannel shirts, and giving thanks – and this November, there’s a lot to be thankful for!
We raise a toast to Hospice SLO County, which this month celebrates 40 years of making a difference in the community through in-home palliative care, education, and grief counseling services. To mark this momentous occasion, Hospice SLO is hosting a gathering honoring its supporters at Avila Lighthouse Suites on Friday, November 9 – and you are cordially invited!
Keynote speaker Gail Rubin, CT, is renowned for her light touch on serious – and often taboo – subjects surrounding end-of-life issues. She is known for her compassionate, and even humorous, treatment of issues related to preparing for and coping with loss. Ms. Rubin has authored three books on related topics and also hosts an acclaimed TV series, A Good Goodbye, as well as an Internet radio program. Chef’s Table Catering will be serving up tasty hors d’oeuvres, dinner, beverages and scrumptious desserts with a nod to the harvest season.
The fete, which promises to be equal parts reflective and celebratory, will take place at:
Avila Lighthouse Suites
550 Front St, Avila Beach, CA 93424
Friday, November 9, 2018
From: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Tickets are $65 each, or $455 for a table of 8 guests. Visit hospiceslo.org/40th or call (805) 544-2266 to reserve your seat.
