What do a nostalgic road trip contest, a collection of banking testimonials and an existential look at special moments have in common?
While you’re pondering that deep question, we’ll share the commonality we were getting at: each garnered an award at the 2017 Coastal California American Advertising Awards competition (formerly known as the ADDY Awards). We’re excited to have won an award for all three of our ad campaign submissions this year!
Each of these projects represents intricate challenges, creative collaboration, in-depth research and a lot of collective heart and soul:
Silver for the “101 Road Trip” contest for Visit Atascadero. This ad campaign and contest was an effective vehicle for the VisitAtascadero brand that we refreshed in 2015 to reflect the town’s warmth, authenticity and nostalgic tribute to “California as it used to be.”
Silver for “A Better Route” integrated advertising campaign for Community West Bank. This campaign used testimonials in digital, print and video formats from business owners to illustrate how Community West Bank developed a personal relationship with their business that enabled them to find a better route to success.
Silver for “The Whole Point” integrated advertising campaign for Ventura County Coast. As with Visit Atascadero, this was the first campaign that showcased the new Ventura County Coast brand that our agency developed. These ads were targeted to families, business/leisure travelers and outdoor adventurers and encouraged them to create memorable moments in Ventura County Coast by reminding them what vacations are all about.
The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, so it’s energizing for our team and our clients to receive this kind of recognition.
But we can’t pause and reflect for too long – new campaigns and challenges are calling our name, and we’ve got work to do!
